50х40 полотно, олія. Куцаченко А.

50х40 cm (19×15 inches) oil on canvas. Kutsachenko А. This landscape of Lviv shows the intersection of Drukarska Street and Rynok Square, from which the perspective of Stavropigiyska Street opens. The Church of the Holy Euharist is dominant in this perspective. In the 13th century a Dominican monastery was founded in its place, which was Gothic temple. Due to the state of emergency in the 18th century this building was dismantled and the cathedral was erected in its modern form ( architect Jan de Witt, late baroque). Now the building has become a symbolic for Lviv. In the foreground of the Ukrainian artist`s painting there is also a notable Lviv landmark – The Museum-pharmacy ” Under the Black Eagle”
